Panchkula: A 30 years old female regained her lost eye sight after endoscopic brain surgery in Alchemist Hospital. Surgery was performed by the team of Alchemist, Dr Gauri Joshi Senior Consultant Neurosurgery and ENT Surgeon Dr Vinay Gupta.
Patient presented with decreased vision for two months. Earlier she consulted with  few ophthalmologists, but vision was not improving. In the last 15-20 days, the vision loss  progressed significantly. She could just see in the center for a few feet and peripheral vision was lost. She was diagnosed to have a pituitary tumour.
She was taken up for surgery after all work up. Trans nasal endoscopic tumour excision was done by the team of our consultant neurosurgeon Dr. Gauri Joshi and ENT surgeon Dr. Vinay Gupta. Total tumour excision done.
Patient regained her vision the same day. Today, she is happy and hopeful of leading a normal life ahead.
There is nothing more rewarding for a patient who regains her vision after a surgery. These are the moments in life when loss of hope or agony for a patient is converted to happiness and relief.
